Term 3 Week 1

Kia ora and welcome back to another JAM packed term. The children have come back settled and ready for the new challenges ahead.

  • Parent/ teacher/child conferences are being held next week, so if you haven't yet seen a form please ask your child to get another one from me. At these meetings we will be looking at the work your child has done as well as setting some goals to work towards for the next half of the year.
  • Speeches- we have begun working on these in class by doing some fun poetry reciting to build the student's confidence to speak in front of their peers. Each student will present a speech by the end of week 3 and from there we will choose one winner from each year group who will represent our class at the school speech contest.
  •  CAMP- this is only 6 short weeks away. The cost has come down to $130 and if anyone has already paid they will be reimbursed the extra.
  • Congrats to Matthew, Troy, George and Romeo who have all been selected to trial for the Northland under 13's rugby team.
Lastly, there are a few students who are still not wearing the correct school uniform. Please buy second hand from the office if your child is in need of a new uniform (they're really cheap). It is term 3 now so everyone should be in proper uniform. I hope you all had a great break and if you have anything to add to the blog let me know.
Regards,
Mrs T
